Meredith Brunner, LMT,NCBTMB

Meredith is a licensed and board certified massage therapist, practicing more than 8 years. She absolutely loves what she does and has a passion for healing arts of all kinds. She feels that health-care requires attention to and the balancing of not only the physical aspects of life, but the mental and spiritual ones as well. To her, massage therapy is a key component to preventative self care since it offers so many health benefits.

Meredith completed her massage training at the Body Therapy Center and School of Massage in 2010. From there she continued her education through Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) and received an Associates Degree in Applied Science Massage Therapy in 2011. Since then, she has taken CEU courses in Thai yoga massage, Neuromuscular Therapy (certified), chakra clearing, Reiki (level 1 attuned), Tuina, sports massage, Biodynamic Cardiovascular Therapy (certified),  Lomi  Lomi, Thai table massage, sound bowl massage, Native American healing touch, and is myofascial release certified.

In addition to being a massage therapist and bodyworker, Meredith is also a 200 hour trained yoga instructor. She started her journey by volunteering yoga classes for the 375th medical group at Scott Air Force Base to complete her level one YogaFit certification through SIUE  where she has been teaching for the past 3.5 years. From there she continued her yoga education by completing a 200 hour yoga alliance certified program through Gaia Studio Edwardsville in December of 2017. She currently teaches at the Yoga Sanctuary of Belleville and continues to teach yoga for SIUE campus recreation.

Meredith has a Bachelors' Degree in Psychology with a minor in Nutrition at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville received in December of 2018, and is also an American Red Cross Certified Lifeguard.

This rest-full yoga session that allows the nervous system to decompress and reset to a baseline of being at peace and in calm. Supportive relaxing asana (poses) with pranayama (breathing techniques) optional hands on craniosacral holds or distance reiki and sound bowls, gong, and other instruments to thoroughly get out of the mind and back into the body
